Matrigel
Product Description
It is a soluble basement membrane extract isolated from mouse sarcoma. This tumor is rich in extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins, such as laminin (the main component), type IV collagen, heparan sulfate proteoglycan, nidogen, and various growth factors. It can improve the adhesion and differentiation of normal and transformed anchorage-dependent epithelial cells as well as other types of cells. It can better mimic the in vivo environment and is suitable for both 2D and 3D cell culture applications.

(1) Before use, soak the vial in a refrigerator at 2-8°C overnight to thaw the matrix. Once the matrix is thawed, swirl the vial to ensure that the material is evenly dispersed. Aliquot it according to your own usage amount and store it in a -20°C freezer. For later use, thaw it in an ice box before using.
(2) When using it, dilute the Matrigel into the organoid complete medium according to the proportion, with the proportion of Matrigel ranging from 50% to 100%.
(3) After dispensing the gel, place the 24-well plate in a 37°C, 5% CO₂ incubator and incubate it in an upright position for 3 to 5 minutes for pre-curing. Then gently turn the 24-well plate upside down and continue to incubate it in the 37°C, 5% CO₂ incubator for about 10 minutes until the Matrigel is completely solidified.
