Red Blood Cell Lysis Buffer

Product Description

This lysis solution has undergone sterile treatment. The processed blood or tissue cell samples can be used for subsequent primary culture, cell fusion, nucleic acid or protein extraction, as well as various routine analyses and detections.

Storage

Store at 2-8℃ for 12 months.

Instructions for Use

(1) Upon receipt of the product, please store it immediately in accordance with the conditions recommended in the instruction manual.

(2) Fresh tissues are subjected to digestion treatment and then dispersed into cell suspensions by appropriate means. Subsequently, the supernatant is discarded after centrifugation.

(3) Add the red blood cell lysis solution at a volume 3 to 5 times that of the cells, gently pipette to ensure thorough mixing, and allow lysis to proceed for 1 to 2 minutes. For instance, if the volume of the cell pellet is 1 mL, then 3 to 5 mL of the red blood cell lysis solution should be added. This step can be performed either at room temperature or at 2-8 °C.

(4) Centrifuge at 400 to 500 g for 5 minutes and discard the red supernatant. A better centrifugation effect can be achieved at 2-8 °C.

(5) In case incomplete lysis of red blood cells is observed, steps (3) and (4) can be repeated once.

Precautions

This product is strictly reserved for scientific research and shall not be applied to clinical diagnosis, treatment, food, or pharmaceuticals. Additionally, it is prohibited from being stored in residential premises.
